I attended Mt. Pleasant Academy as a child where I first became interested in learning more about students with exceptional needs. I began teaching Special Education in Charleston in 1997. I have a degree in Special Education (B.S.) and a Master’s Degree (M.Ed.) in Elementary Education, both from the College of Charleston. I am married with 2 children (a son and a daughter). I had the privilege of living in England for 3 years while my husband attended Oxford University. I have taught at the preschool and elementary levels. I enjoy spending time on the water with family and friends, sports, shopping, cooking, and most recently…dining out! I am currently teaching a Low-Incidence, Multi-Categorical Class for students with exceptional needs at Mt. Pleasant Academy.
